Laurie Stewart. Painter, Photographer, Publisher. Born 1926. Arrived at Norwood in April 1934. Chequered and chaotic career which included a year in the Israeli army in 1948. Thanks Norwood for his love of Literature Music and the Arts. But does not thank Norwood for a poor education and a rather repressive regime which he has been fighting ever since!
Says. I am privileged to be the co-publisher of David's book "Reminiscences of a Norwood Boy" In my view it is a major insight into the social history of the period as well as being a moving personal account of what it was like for many of the children caught up in the economic misery of the time.
